Topper’s Mountain Bricolage Rouge 2014: Review
An interesting and enjoyable blend of tempranillo (60%), nebbiolo (30%), tannat, and shiraz viognier grapes. Tasted in 2021 with seven years of bottle age it was fully developed, though it still has some acidity and tannin may go a bit further. It has medium body and intensity with raspberries and some black cherry on the palate along with some pepper. I’ve tasted from two bottles, and there is a bit a variation between them. The first was a revelation, really good that had me going back for more. Really worth a try.
