Stone and Crow Truffle’d Triple Cream: Review
Enjoyable. Stone and Crow Truffle’d Triple cream is a limited edition cheese sold exclusively via one retailer (see below), It is triple cream cow’s milk cheese with a fairly soft texture, even consistency, and a white colour. The rind has an medium intensity deep fermented elements. Since this is a triple cream cheese it is no surprise that dairy flavours are at the fore, though I did get some herbal, mineral flavours too. Both the dairy and truffle flavours are dialled back, there are more intense triple creams, or truffled cheeses out there. That said this one has its place. The flavour is more complex that most in this category, and if eaten with other foods will not dominate them.
