Red Cow Farmhouse Jack: Review

Very moreish cheese. Red Cow Farmhouse Jack semi-hard farmhouse cheese is made from organic cow’s milk. It comes encased in black wax having been cave aged on timber boards for 2-3 months. In terms of texture and taste it is somewhere between a softer style cheddar and a Havarti. It has strong dairy smell. There are strong flavours in the mouth of dairy and nuts. Very enjoyable.

Wine Matching | Wine Pairing

It’s a semi-hard at the milder dairy end, so go for a fuller bodied white wine like a chardonnay or Soumah Estate Viognier. Or see my cheese and wine pairing guide for more options.

Where to Buy

I bought mine direct from Red Cow Organics online, where you’ll also find a list of stockists. I’ve seen offers from time-to-time from as part of subscriptions from Mould.
