Fratelli Primitivo 2011: Review
Here’s wine buying tip. Get a wine list, ignore all the famous grapes varieties, then find a bottle with a few years of age on it and check the price. Chances are the quality of it will be the same as a wine that costs nearly twice the price but made from a famous grape. It worked here. As a result Fratelli Primitivo 2011 is a fully developed wine with interesting flavours of black cherries, stewed fruits, a bit of spice and some earth. Clear medium depth appearance. medium bodied with pronounced flavour intensity. Nice wine and good value at about AUD 35
15% alcohol by volume though it does not taste hot.
