Peaks Cheese Mountaineer: Review
Australia’s first unpasteurised milk cheese. Bruny Island Raw Milk C2 is cooked curd cheese made from cow’s milk, aged for up to 12 months, and washed each week to encourage mould on the rind. The rind has a very intense smell. Cutting through it reveals and yellowish-ivory coloured paste even in consistency. Sweet and savoury dairy flavours abound with a hint of caramel and a long finish. Very enjoyable.

Easier to get in a shop in Tasmania, but harder on the Australian ‘mainland’ A list of stockists is available on Bruny Island’s website. and they have a good online delivery service. I bought this cheese from Melbourne’s Ripe. They have online delivery.
