Bruny Island Bella: Review
Enjoyable semi-hard cow’s milk cheese with a natural rind. Bella by Bruny Island Cheese Company is named after one of their cows. Using pasteurised milk and non-animal rennet it is vegetarian friendly. The aroma is of strong dairy with a slight fermented element coming from the rind. The smooth paste has good dairy and nutty flavours. At the back of the mouth the slight fermented flavour is present. This is a limited release cheese, similar to “George” which is another of Bruny Island’s cheese offerings. Enjoyable.

Try complimenting the strong dairy flavours with a full bodied white chardonnay or viognier, of choose the acidity of a younger shiraz to cut that dairy.
