Bruny Island 1792 washed rind cheese: Review
A benchmark washed rind cheese with a savoury meaty taste, and thick creamy mouthfeel. Bruny Island 1792 cheese is made from pastuerised cow’s milk, stored on Huon pine boards, and hand washed regularly in brine. Very soft, and has a pinky-orange rind with a strong sweaty socks smell typical of this type of cheese. It’s utterly moreish stuff, and even better with a chutney as an accompaniment as the sweetness from it will pair nicely with the savoury umani flavours and creamy mouthfeel.
